Every wedding is different. Chris and I always plan ahead. We anticipate every shot and try very hard to make sure we get every shot we want. But one thing that cannot be planned is the emotion. If it is going to happen, it’s going to happen. You simply can’t force that. Therefore, we try to give our bride and groom the chance to share a moment during the hustle and bustle of the day; it might be the only one they get all day :/ My favorite moment from Tyler + Shannon’s wedding happened during their time alone. Alow me to set the scene.
Tyler stands at the steps of small, white house. He is staring into the dark room anticipating the moment that is to follow shortly. Shannon leaves her bridal suite. Nerves in full effect. She bustles her dress with both arms as if to remove any possible delays of reaching her groom. Tyler, still at the steps, is unaware of the sense of urgency in which his bride shows as she is moving as quickly as her heels will allow her. Finally, Shannon can see her groom. With every high heel “click” Tyler’s mind fills with images of his approaching bride. “Click, click, click…” then silence. Shannon gently taps her groom on the shoulder. Tyler turns. They embrace. Then the tear falls. A single tear rolls down Shannon’s cheek.
This was my favorite moment because of how unplanned it was. All I said to Shannon was, “Go get you groom.” We walked away and snapped our images from a distance. I felt privileged to be a part something so intimate. When you scroll down you will see for yourself.
Now, on to the show.
As always, your photogs doing whta they do best
The When and Where:
Tyler + Shannon tied the knot at the historical Carrilon Park in Dayton, OH on July 20th, 2012. This place is jam packed with photo ops. Incredible landscape, stunning architecture, rustic charm, oh yea and don’t forget the giant blue clock! Perfect location for any wedding. If you would like more info on Carrilon Park just click here.
I don’t always make shout outs to other vendors but I am making an exception for this one. Duffy with Party Pleasers…BOOK THIS GUY! Everybody wedding needs a DJ like him. In my opinion he is the best in the industry. You can check out Party Pleasers here.
